Do I have to have prior training?

No. Beginners to pros, all are welcome.

Do I have to be in shape to start?

No. We will meet you were you are. All classes are adaptable and we priorize technique over power and speed.

Why is this gym different than others?

You're not signing up for a gym - you're joining a team. If you succeed, we all succeed. If you face a challenge, we all grow. Together is the only way we thrive.

How often do I need to take classes?

At least 3x a week. If you can't make 3, make sure to practice outside of class. Coach John says learning a Martial Art is like learning a language. At the beginning, you're just learning sounds (body awareness). Eventually, those sounds become words (strikes and techniques), and then soon you're forming sentences (combinations and flows) and paragraphs (situational awareness and fight IQ). If you only practiced sounds 1-2x a week, that progression to sentences would be pretty challenging. If you can't make it to the gym, make sure you're practicing at home.
